2025 / 2026 Admissions
If your child's date of birth falls between 01 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 they will be eligible for a free 15 hour place from September 2025.
Emails have been sent out for all the children we have on our admission list, whose dates of birth fall within the period above offering them the chance to visit nursery during the Summer Term and giving the start dates for the Autumn Term.
If you would like your child to attend Lane Head Nursery School in the next academic school year please register with us as soon as possible. Just give us a call or complete the attached form and return it to nurseryadmissions@shortheathfederation.org.uk

At Lane Head Nursery School, we provide an inspiring and enabling

Our team of dedicated staff understand that some children have a strong preference for being either indoors or outside. Our free flow learning environment and ‘Can Do’ approach enables Every child to discover and work this Way.
Everyone is encouraged to develop at their own pace. We can promise that each day your child will learn something new in our highly stimulating, imaginative and creative environment.
By listening to and carefully observing your children at play, we deliver a planned Early Years curriculum that guarantees every day will be filled with fun whilst making lasting friendships!

- Picnic in the Park09Jul2025
11:00 am - 1:00 pm @ Walsall Arboretum
We would like to invite children and families to a whole school 'picnic in the park' event at Walsall Arboretum. The idea is to meet families there, enjoy some time playing in the park and then all join together to enjoy a picnic lunch. We can only do this if all families with to participate and facilitate getting their children to the park themselves. Please let us know whether you would like to join in with this free event by letting your child's group leader know. School will have to remain closed to any families who do not attend the event.
- Festival Day for Emerald, Opal and Rainbow Morning Groups16Jul2025
9:30 am - 11:30 am @ At Nursery
Instead of a show this year we have decided to hold our own festival. We hope to have a bouncy castle, face painting and a visit from the ice cream man. We ask for a CASH donation of £5.00 from each family that will go towards the cost of the event. If you cannot attend on this date perhaps you could ask another family member to accompany your child. This will be outside (whatever the weather) so please keep your fingers crossed for some good weather. Children need to arrive at school at the usual session times and parents can return to join in. Families will be able to take children as soon as the activities end.
